The New Life program of Protek Charity Fund received the I Russian National Award “Face of the Nation”
The New Life program of Protek Charity Fund was named the best 2018 charity project in medicine and psychology at the awarding ceremony of the Russian National Award “Face of the Nation” held on 29 May. The winner's certificate was handed to the Director General of Protek Mr. Nikolai Polianskii.
“We have been engaged in charity for a long time – Protek Charity Fund was established over 12 years ago. However, receiving the Face of the Nation award is a very significant event. I guess it is not a secret to anyone present here that many families in our country face fertility problems. Not everyone has the opportunity to solve the problem, if only because it involves expensive examinations, tests, and above all treatment (IVF). Mr. Vadim Sergeevich Iakunin, Head of the Supervisory Board of Protek Charity Fund, became the initiator and the main sponsor of the New Life program that is implemented together with the Kulakov Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology and is supervised personally by the Center Director Mr. Gennadii Tikhonovich Sukhikh. 1,317 specialist consultations, 11,722 clinical and laboratory studies, and 58 IVFs have been performed under the New Life program. To date, the Fund's investments exceeded 31 million rubles, 183 people underwent examination, 30 children were born, and four families are expecting babies as a result of the program implementation,” said Nikolai Polianskii.
The Face of the Nation award is the first Russian national award established to promote charity among wider society and indicate its importance in social life and economy.
The award has 12 categories: Person of the Year; Philanthropist, Patron of Arts of the Year; Environment Protection; Charitable Sports Event; Charity Project of the Year in Medicine and Psychology; Culture and Art Project; Animal Help Project; Media Charitable Project, and other.
